All ages are welcome!\n\n\n\nThis presentation discusses how the American Flag rose to become an iconic symbol of freedom around the world. From one rainy night of terror to a dawn of glorious perseverance in the face of overwhelming opposition\, guests will learn how the Star-Spangled Banner received its name and why it continues to be displayed with such pride today.\n\n\n\nDiscover the story behind the flag\, the anthem\, and the enduring spirit that helped shape the United States.\n\n\n\n\n\nBios: Michael and Rebecca Cooper have been living historians for the early American period since 2006. They have conducted extensive research into the clothing\, life-styles\, and habits of Americans from 1790 to 1821. They frequently travel to historic sites across the mid-west\, Niagara region\, and Canada. The couple speaks on a variety of topics associated with this time period to school groups\, fraternal and sororal clubs\, and historical societies. Michael and Rebecca are proud to have been a part of War of 1812 bicentennial\, Indiana Statehood\, and several city bicentennial commemorations including Wilmington's own celebrations.
