SUMMARY:Fall Color Evening Hike
DESCRIPTION:Each hike in this series will be unique so please pay close attention to which date you are coming and the location of the hike.\n\n \n\nAll ages welcome\, however\, if your child scares in the dark\, this will not be a good hike as it will be dark when we finish.\n\n \n\nWill will get to see the change in fall colors during this series. As we hike\, we will be letting our eyes adjust to the darkness of the forest. The less light and noise we produce\, the more we will see! When it does get very dark\, please keep lights pointed at the ground!\n\n \n\nWe will call for owls and be on the lookout for other nightlife such as bats and flying squirrels.\n\n \n\nOct 8: Meet at the Commissary Porch to hike Lakeview Trail. This is roughly 1mile and some hills are steep. Hiking stick and flashlight recommended. Please dress for the weather and wear appropriate shoes.\n\n \n\nOct 22: Meet at the Main Office to hike Old Field Trail. This is roughly 1mile and some areas may be slippery. Hiking stick and flashlight recommended. Please dress for the weather and wear appropriate shoes.\n\n \n\nOct 29: Park at the Overflow Parking behind Camphost site 61 by 6:15pm. We will walk to Camphost Site 87 to hike Beechnut Trail. (alternately\, you can meet us here if you are camping). This is under 1mile and some areas may be slippery. Hiking stick and flashlight recommended. Please dress for the weather and wear appropriate shoes.
