DESCRIPTION:The inaugural concert of the Music on Columbus Concert Series will be Sunday\, June 7\,\n\n2026\, at 3:00 pm in the FCC sanctuary featuring the piano quartet 4 Praise.\n\n\n\nMark your calendars and invite your family\, friends\, neighbors\, acquaintances\, etc. for an afternoon of beautiful music.\n\n\n\nThe Covid pandemic left many folks bereft and without compass. On the other hand\, we hear many stories of people who thrived during the lockdowns\, cancellation of programs and more. The story of 4 Praise is of the latter. Around 2021\, Marilyn Myers found some music for 8 hand / 2 pianos. Her church had been using 4 hand piano for some of their streamed services\, and she thought it would be fun to explore the music she had. Before long\, 4 Praise\, performing two piano / eight hand music\, had its founding.\n\n\n\nThe members of the quartet as shown in the photo are Jennie Harner\, a retired Home Economics teacher and active flutist\; Marilyn Myers\, a retired music educator and Choir Director at Hillsboro Global Methodist Church\; Mindy Lee\, who is a loan associate with NCB and organist at Hillsboro Global Methodist Church\; Debbie Vesely\, a retired Registered Nurse.\n\nAll of the ladies are active in their churches.
