DESCRIPTION:Join the Wilmington-Clinton County Chamber of Commerce\, the Village of Sabina\, the Clinton County Parks Board\, the Clean Ohio Program\, and the Clinton County Trails Coalition as they celebrate the grand opening of the Clinton-Fayette Friendship Trail on Saturday\, April 22nd\, at 10AM. \n\n \n\nThe program to dedicate the 7.1 mile Clinton-Fayette Friendship Trail will begin in the park shelter house with comments from:\n\nBob Thobaben - Clinton County Parks Board\n\nPam Bauer - Clinton County Health Department \n\nTaylor Stuckert   Clinton County Trails Coalition\n\nDean Hawk   Mayor of Sabina\n\nEric Oberg\, Director of Trail Development   National Rails To Trails Conservancy\n\n\n\nDate: Saturday\, April 22\, 2017\n\nWhere: Sabina Village Park (the park by the village water tower)\, Sabina\, OH 45169\n\nWhen: Ribbon Cutting and Dedication at 10AM\n\n\n\nThe Wilmington Kiwanis Club along with the East Clinton Key Club\, and the Wilmington Bike Club will host a bike rodeo at 10:30AM. The bike rodeo will feature free bike helmets\, a bike safety check and a bike ride on the trail. \n\n\n\nTanya Carey will lead a Run/Walk on the east end of the trail while the bikers will use the paved west end. \n\n\n\nThe public is encouraged to attend and participate in a hike and bike ride. Skateboards\, roller blades\, strollers\, wheelchairs will want to start their adventure by the Trinity Baptist Church parking lot where the trail is paved to Reesville. The two ends of the trail are currently topped with hard packed limestone\, which is too soft for small wheels.
