DESCRIPTION:Become certified in mental health first aid through the Wilmington Public Library's online courses!\n\nWPL will offer two sessions of Adult Mental Health First Aid (March 12 or March 22)\, and one session focused on Youth Mental Health First Aid (March 15). Both courses have some pre-work (about 1.5-2 hours) that will need to be completed 2 days before the class. Visit www.wilmington.lib.oh.us or click here to sign up\, spaces are limited. Deadline to sign-up is Friday\, February 12.\n\nMental Health First Aid teaches you how to identify\, understand\, and respond to signs of mental illnesses and substance use disorders. This 6   hour training gives adults the skills they need to reach out and provide initial support to someone who may be developing a mental health or substance use problem and help connect them to the appropriate care. This course is funded by the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Service.
