Antlers & Eggs

Antlers & Eggs

Location: The event will be held at the dance pavilion shelter house near the public beach at Cowan Lake. We will have limited seating so please bring a folding chair.  The shelter house is located on the south side of the lake off of State Route 350 and Yankee Road.

Activities provided at the event: We will have guest speakers providing interactive education on whitetail deer, wild turkeys, hunting tips, gun safety, wild life conservation, and self-acceptance. Children will have the chance to use Nerf guns and Bows to shoot at 3D archery targets. Mandy Wolski the Cowan Lake resident Naturalist will have a meet and greet with her raptor and wildlife exhibit. Children will be able to closely interact with a variety of wildlife animals. We will also have a large antler and egg hunt near the end of the event. The Turkey trot contest will have kids do their best impression of a strutting rooster. Get your kids practicing now. We will also have a variety of raffles to help support our mission.

Registration: You can preregister at our website www.catchingfireoutdoors.org/events . All participants must register at the event. Registration will start at 9:00am.

Age restrictions: All children will be able to participate in the event. You must be 15 and under to participate in the egg hunt.

Cost of the event: Everything is totally free. We will be accepting donations and raising money through the raffle packages.

How is the money used: The money raised goes back directly to the children. 100% of the proceeds will be reinvested into the events and sponsorship of local at-risk children to participate in our events.
