Brunch & Learn: Planning to Sell Your Business - Exit Strategy

The Wilmington-Clinton County Chamber of Commerce and the Clinton County Port Authority, in conjunction with the Ohio Small Business Development Centers (SBDC), will be hosting our first "Brunch and Learn" of the year on Thursday, April 29th, from 9:30AM to 11:30AM.
This educational session will be held virtually with limited in-person capacity (15 max) at the Community Room of the Wilmington Municipal Building, 69 North South St., Wilmington, OH 45177. In-person seating will be on a first come, first served basis.
Learn from experts in the business of selling businesses - When is the right time for you to sell? What should you do in the years leading up to selling or exiting your business? What is your business worth and how is a business appraised to determine what it should sell for? What are good exit strategies and what do they involve? What resources do I need or already have that can help me develop a plan? What did 2020 do to the market to make my chances better or worse for buying or selling a business in 2021? If these are questions you have, we will attempt to answer those questions for you.

Brandon Owens has been in the business field for almost 25 years. His work ethic and drive began at the age of 12 when he ran 2 businesses from his parents’ home, delivering newspapers for the local news rag, and mowing lawns for local neighbors. He learned the value of hard work and running his own business at an early age. His parents were both entrepreneurs and he was surrounded by the daily buzz of running a business.
Right after graduating high school, Brandon joined the U.S. Navy and served in a P-3C Orion submarine hunter squadron in Hawaii for most of his 6 years of service. He was a decorated sailor and managed to finish most of his undergraduate degree while attending college in the evenings while still serving in the Navy.
Following graduation from the University Dayton, after returning stateside, Brandon began his career in business in successive roles in manufacturing management and leadership culminating in his final role as Director of several manufacturing operations before joining the First-Choice family of franchise owners. Brandon’s perspective on running a business is ground level and he understands the daily challenges that accompany operating complex businesses. He is no stranger to P&L statements and the "numbers", making him a valuable resource to your efforts to gain the maximum sales dollar for your business.
