Parkinson's disease affects the central nervous system, damaging or destroying nerve cells in the brain that help control movement. Symptoms may include tremors, slowness, stiffness and balance problems. Because Parkinson's can't be cured, treatment seeks to relieve symptoms with as few side effects as possible.
CMH Neurological Services, Suite 207, 630 W. Main St., is a general neurology practice offering a full range of neurological evaluations and diagnostics from Dr. Mangala Venkatesh and Dr. Andrea Manhart. Diseases evaluated and managed include stroke, multiple sclerosis, Alzheimer’s disease, peripheral nerve disorders, Parkinson’s disease, muscle diseases, epilepsy, tremor, brain and spinal cord injuries and headache.
