Join the Cowan Lake State Park Naturalists on the south side of the lake to Celebrate Earth Day. Our goal is to make Cowan Lake an even more beautiful place for all to enjoy.
We need volunteers to help to achieve this goal. This is a great opportunity for church and scout groups, families, or individuals. Invasive plants will be removed, and trash will be collected. There will be plenty to do and a group leader to guide you.
Wear closed toed shoes, bring work gloves, and a water bottle. You may want to bring your favorite tools for the invasive plants. Invasive garlic mustard is pulled, not cut.
The park will supply a limited amount of water, tools, and gloves. There will be trash bags for trash collection.
One-Day Volunteer Agreement Forms will need to be signed on-site.
