War Resistor, Larry Gara (1922-2019)
Created in combination with the 2021 Westheimer Peace Symposium, this exhibit celebrates the Wilmington College Quaker principles of nonviolence and peace through the life and work of recently deceased Wilmington College Faculty Emeritus, Quaker, peace activist, and war resistor, Larry Gara. Larry was a powerful voice for nonviolent social change and an avid anti-nuclear activist.
Please join us for the exhibit opening at the Quaker Heritage Center in the Boyd Cultural Arts Center on the International Day of Peace, September 21 from 6:00-8:00 p.m.
The exhibit will remain on display through December 14, 2021
