How do you ROCK - a collective exhibition hosted by South Street Gallery
Downtown Wilmington will be "rocking" this summer with a “Rocking the 80s” Wine Walk hosted by Main Street Wilmington (MSW) in June, followed by the Clinton County Convention and Visitor's Bureau's head-banging “Rock the Block” concert series in July, and winding up with the MSW Art and Soul Festival in September.
To participate in the rocking spirit, the South Street Gallery (SSG) is inviting the Wilmington Business Community to submit original artwork with the theme “Rock”.
Artists/businesses are being asked to create original, one-of-a-kind work. The art will be displayed at the South Street Gallery for a period of 3 months starting June 24, 2021 and ending September 20, 2021. After the three months, all artwork not sold will be returned to the artist.
- Canvas art – not larger than 16” x 20”
- 3d art – not larger than a gallon milk jug
Note: In order to maintain social distancing, and due to the size of our shop, we will not sponsor a big gallery opening like we used to. (Yes, we hate that too) Instead we will be open Thursdays and Fridays from 1PM until 8PM, and Saturdays 12PM - 3PM during this three month period.
Artwork must be presented for display (dropped off to the South Street Gallery) no later than close of business June 15, 2021. SSG will determine the placement of all artwork
Instead of a Hanging Fee or Gallery Rent, a 20% commission will be assessed on the sale of artwork.

We hope you can share in the Rock themed fun by either submitting works of art or visiting the South Street Gallery to see the work.
