Shoe Drive for Hairway 2 Heaven

Hairway 2 Heaven & Leesburg Kenya Mission is conducting a shoe drive now through Dec. 31 to raise funds for our Kenya Mission trip, our mission program provides vacation Bible school to the children at the Orphanage as well as building a kitchen there so they can have well balanced meals everyday.

 

Hairway 2 Heaven and Leesburg Kenya mission will earn funds based on the total weight of the shoes collected as Funds2Orgs will purchase all the donated footwear. Those dollars will benefit the Next Steps  that our program Kenya missions has in place.

 

 

Shoe drive by Dec. 3 from 1:00 to 3:00 at Hairway 2 Heaven

..you can drive by during this time and pop open your trunk and we will take your donation without you even getting out of your car...

 

***Dec 4th drop off from 12:00 to 2:00 at Leesburg United Methodist Chuch

***for every 25 pairs of shoes donated you get an entry into a drawing for a 55in flat screen smart TV***  you can ask Family, friends neighbors etc. to donate to help you get as many entries as possible***

 

 

All donated shoes will then be redistributed throughout the Funds2Orgs network of microenterprise partners in developing nations.

 

Funds2Orgs helps impoverished people start, maintain and grow businesses in countries such as Haiti, Honduras and other nations in Central America and Africa.

 

Proceeds from the shoe sales are used to feed, clothe and house their families. One budding entrepreneur in Haiti even earned enough to send to her son to law school.

 

“We are excited about our shoe drive,” said Wendy and Ashley communications coordinators. “We know that most people have extra shoes in their closets they would like donate to us and help those less fortunate become self-sufficient. It’s a win-win for everyone,” added Wendy.

 

By donating gently worn, used and new shoes to H2H and Leesburg Kenya mission Shoe Drive, the shoes will be given a second chance and make a difference in people’s lives.
