The Banned Book Nook and Other Curiosities is locally owned and operated by Rachel, Adam, and Lily Collins - all lifelong residents of Clinton County. Rachel expressed, “We are here to bring attention to banned books and to get books into the hands of the community in general. We hope that by making banned and challenged books available, it will start meaningful conversations in everyday life about censorship and first amendment rights. We also feel that a used bookstore is a great place to have available in a small town!”
In addition to a large selection of adult and children’s books, the shops “other curiosities” are an eclectic array of items that include glassware, cookie jars, sports memorabilia and much more. Current hours are Wednesdays through Saturdays from 10AM to 6PM. To learn more, follow them on Facebook or contact 937-366-9403.
