The Highland County Chamber of Commerce 13th Annual Ag is Everyone's Business Event

The Highland County Chamber of Commerce 13th Annual Ag is Everyone's Business Event taking place on Friday, March 7, 2025. The event will take place at Southern State Community College's Patriot Center and will feature speakers Dr. Matt Roberts and Hinda Mitchell. Tickets are available to purchase online for $25 and will include lunch.

We are excited to welcome Dr. Matt Roberts, ag economics consultant and founder of The Kernmantle Group, as our keynote speaker for this year’s event. Dr. Roberts is a nationally-renowned expert and speaker on the grain and energy markets. He has been quoted in the Wall Street Journal, the Chicago Tribune, Associated Press, and Forbes, and has been interviewed on CNBC. Roberts received a B.A. in Economics from William Jewell and a Ph.D. in Economics from North Carolina State University. Prior to graduate school Roberts worked as a commodity and energy derivatives broker in Vienna, Austria and as a market research consultant to the pharmaceutical industry in North Carolina. Roberts will be presenting: What’s Next for the Economy? 2025 and Beyond.
