This webinar provides valuable information for anyone interested in taking steps to improve their indoor air quality (IAQ) to reduce COVID-19 transmission. Presenters from the Ohio Facilities Construction Commission (OFCC) and the Ohio Bureau of Workers? Compensation (BWC) will discuss a step-wise approach to assessing and managing IAQ and reducing COVID-19 transmission risks. The webinar will also discuss the BWC COVID-19 Indoor Air Quality Assistance Program, which provides funding for eligible employers in Ohio who manage congregate care facilities for seniors.
After this webinar attendees will be able to:
• Identify how IAQ and HVAC systems can affect the spread of COVID-19.
• Recognize best practices to assess and improve HVAC system performance.
• Define the roles of the HVAC and IH professionals.
• Explain the trade-offs in cost and effectiveness of various HVAC improvements.
• Describe the BWC COVID-19 Indoor Air Quality Assistance Program.
• Compare supplementary air cleaning devices including bi-polar ionization and UV-GI.
