Loan Servicing & Customer Service Representative

Wilmington Savings Bank is a growing company that is investing in its future. The Loan Servicing & Customer Service Representative is accountable for providing the highest level of customer service to internal and external customers with operational integrity.

Primary responsibilities for this position are disbursing tax payments to municipalities on a timely basis to avoid late charges and penalties, insurance review and escrow payments, reviewing and printing escrow analysis statements, and completion of assigned daily reports. This Specialist position will also perform services of on-boarding consumer loans to the servicing system, rate changes and analysis of adjustable rate mortgages, quoting loan payoff for external and internal customers, loan payoff processing and researching and solving loan inquiries from customers and/or bank personnel.

What We Ask of You:

  • Verifies and disburses tax payments to municipalities for consumer and commercial loans to avoid late charges and penalties

  • Works closely with municipalities to request tax bills for consumer and commercial loans

  • Reconciles tax bill to core system for consumer and commercial loans

  • Reconciles escrow analysis statements and sends to customers on a timely basis 

  • Books consumer loans to core servicing system 

  • Completes daily reports 

  • Reviews all types of escrow payments and remits insurance premiums per reports

  • Processes monthly reconciliation reports 

  • Assists both internal and external customers with loan inquiries and conducting the appropriate research

  • Creates and verifies consumer loan payoffs 

  • Processes loan payments and payoffs for consumer loans

  • Adheres to established policies and procedures

  • Reviews and processes unapplied payments

  • Processes adjustable rate interest changes on existing adjustable rate loans and analysis for payment changes

  • Performs other duties as assigned for consumer and commercial servicing

  • Commercial loan boarding and servicing backup as needed


Experience & Competencies:

  • You have recent (within past 5 years) experience working with mortgages, escrows, and loan servicing 

  • You have solid knowledge of Microsoft Word and intermediate to advanced Excel, and willing to pre-employment testing

  • You demonstrate excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail with the ability to multitask

  • You build relationships with others through solid, timely communication and useful information to build credibility and can handle and resolve recurring situations in a tactful manner

  • You have effective time management skills and the ability to work under pressure and meet established goals, objectives, and deadlines

  • You possess high levels of integrity and work ethic

  • You have problem solving capabilities and take initiatives to work independently or as a team
