Clinton County is seeking applicants for the position of Deputy Dog Warden. This full time position is eligible for medical, dental, vision and life insurance benefits as well as Ohio Public Employee Retirement (OPERS) and paid time off benefits.
The Deputy Dog Warden reports to the Dog Warden and is responsible for enforcing statutes governing the licensing and regulation of dogs, public safety, educates the public regarding the statutes, issues warnings and citations, seizes, quarantines, impounds dogs, investigates neglect and cruelty cases, investigates claims for damage to livestock, appears in court and attends arraignments. Responds to complaints; maintains shelter, cares for dogs. Prepares and maintains records.
Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, valid driver’s license, and good driving record. Must have good judgement, a good work ethic, good communication skills, basic computer skills, and be dedicated to providing excellent customer service.
