About Us

You might better know us as ''Quakers''. We live by the Spirit and our message is Peace. Friends believe that all people are equal and loved by God. We have very few rituals in our service, believing each woman and man encounters their own way to God in silence and contemplation. The Quakers believe in absolute equality of the sexes, women and men can serve as pastors and leaders within our Meeting. Friends are one of the ''Peace Churches'' and are opposed to war and violence in any form. If you are looking for a religious experience that recognizes the uniqueness of each person and offers a Christian structure in which to foster individual spiritual growth, the Wilmington Friends Meeting might be for you.
