Open House & Ribbon Cutting at the Aging Up Center

You are cordially invited to an Open House at the Aging Up Center to celebrate the opening of the Adult Day Care Facility on November 12, 2025, from 1PM to 3PM, with a ribbon cutting at 1:30PM in conjunction with the Wilmington-Clinton County Chamber of Commerce.

Prior to 2020, Clinton County had an Adult Day Care Facility (ADC) available in the basement of the Friends Church. This facility had been in operation since 1992 and provided adult day care in a safe and supportive environment. 

The new location will be at the Aging Up Center located at 717 N. Nelson Avenue, Wilmington. The facility, owned and operated by Clinton County Community Action, is providing space within the center for the day-to-day operations. Families needing assistance with their elderly loved ones will now have the services available for a time of respite, ability to work and maintain the things in life that they may not normally have while taking care of their loved one. The ADC will provide a safe and clean space, hands-on experienced medical staff, activities for stimulation and lunch with transportation services available.

Jane Newkirk, CEO of Clinton County Community Action, stated that the agency and the board of trustees is excited to work with Extended Family Home Health Services to once again make a service available that filled a need in the community for 28 years.
