JOB DUTIESEMPLOYER: Clinton County Juvenile Court SUPERVISOR: Programming Manager
The Youth Navigator, under the direct supervision of the Resource Center Programming Manager, will be responsible for the following duties:
- Conduct initial assessments and screenings as required
- Identify family/youth needs and/or barriers and make connections with appropriate providers
- Facilitate programming for youth
- Supervise youth within the Resource Center
- Transport youth as necessary
- Community outreach
- Maintain communication with youth/families until needs are met and closed from program
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor
- Minimum of an Associate’s Degree in a relevant field preferred, relevant experience will be considered
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, dignity, and respect for all families
- Willingness to promote positive youth development
- Understanding of the juvenile justice system and its processes as well as other systems of education, mental health, child welfare, etc.
- Exemplary communication skills
- Ability to multitask
- Maintain effective performance in stressful situations
- Valid driver’s license
