Position Summary:
Information Control Administrator is responsible for Ahresty Infrastructure System upkeep. The Administrator is responsible for ensuring high availability of all key business systems. Works closely with business end users to facilitate smooth system upkeep and transitions as required. Project management of assigned duties.
Scope of Responsibility:  The Information Control Administrator role is to manage and maintain Ahresty’s computer software systems, to ensure high levels of availability and security of the supported business applications. This individual participates in the planning & implementation of policies and procedures to ensure system provision and maintenance that is consistent with company goals, industry best practices and regulatory requirements. This individual will also be responsible for writing documentation to describe custom configurations of applications and networking procedures, to serve as a liaison with vendors, consultants, and in-house project managers. Advanced project management of key projects as assigned by Information Control Manager.
 
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide advanced technical expertise and recommendations in assessing new IT networking projects and initiatives to support and enhance our existing systems.
  • Provide day to day leadership and guidance to the Infrastructure team
  • Manage, Support, Install, and benchmark Cisco Networking environment. Ensure network storage is managed effectively and efficiently.
  • Manage Microsoft Application Infrastructure, including communication and collaboration platforms. Moderate Cisco management including but not limited to VLANs, switch replacements, advanced routing, ASA Management and closely working with external vendors to troubleshoot and resolve Ahresty issues.
  • Identify opportunities that can improve efficiency to business processes and present ideas to the Information Control Manager
  • Install new software releases and system upgrades as designated, evaluate and install patches, and resolve software related problems. Identify more productive ways to accomplish tasks being performed today.
  • Manage system backups and perform regular recovery testing.
  • Produce technical documentation for new and existing applications.
  • Work in a team environment, assist outside of normal job functions to assist other team members.  Demonstrates advanced knowledge of IT operations.
  • Provide second & third level user support and being available whenever the need arises.
  • Provide advanced assistance and advice to business users through the effective use of applications and information technology all with communication understandable by the end users.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Education/Experience/Training (minimum required):
  • Minimum 2-year degree or 4 years of Information Technology experience.
  • Advanced technical experience with Active Directory, Service Desk, ISCSI SAN configurations a plus. 
  • Advanced working knowledge and skills with Microsoft Office Products.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to work outside of normal business hours, demonstration of going above and beyond to ensure business continuity.
  • Advanced Server and Networking Certifications.
  • Good project management skills with effective results focus within an information systems environment.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and manage changing priorities.
  • Proven ability to be flexible and work hard, both independently and in a team environment, in a high pressure on-call environment with changing priorities.
  • Experience in the development and implementation of standards, procedures and guidelines to support operational processes.
  • Proven Leadership ability is a must and supervising subordinates will be required. Controlling overtime and making informed decisions when overtime is necessary.
