Industrial Mechanic Requirements/Qualifications
Previous industrial maintenance or mechanical repair experience required
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
Experience maintaining hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems preferred
Welding experience including arc, MIG, or acetylene welding is a plus
Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
About the Industrial Mechanic Role
As an Industrial Mechanic, your responsibilities will include:
Diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues on industrial equipment and machinery
Performing preventative maintenance to reduce equipment downtime
Reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
Maintaining and repairing engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, and powered equipment
Troubleshooting electrical and mechanical components to identify root causes of failures
Completing welding repairs and fabrication projects as needed
Replacing tires, wheels, and related components on light and heavy-duty equipment
Inspecting machinery to identify wear, damage, or safety concerns
Maintaining accurate maintenance logs and repair documentation
Ensuring compliance with company safety policies and procedures
Assisting with equipment installations, modifications, and upgrades
Supporting production operations by responding quickly to maintenance requests
