Crown Staffing is hiring: Machine Operator – Wilmington, OH
Hours: Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM – 2:30 PM
Pay: $19.00/hr
Crown Staffing is seeking a detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our Wilmington team. In this role, you will set up and operate machines to perform machining operations such as drilling, reaming, countersinking, spot facing, and tapping holes in metal work pieces.
Key Responsibilities:
Read blueprints or shop packets to determine product specifications, tooling, and instructions
Perform setup activities including mounting fixtures, adjusting speed/feed, mounting cutting tools, adjusting stops/locators, and coolant
Position and secure jigs and align tools with guide bushings
Verify conformance of machined work to specifications at predefined quality intervals and document activity
Ensure setup conforms to standards and handle scrap appropriately
Follow department quality and production goals
Maintain a clean and organized work area following the 5S program
Be flexible and willing to learn other jobs in the area
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Skills:
High School Diploma or GED preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Ability to follow quality and production standards consistently
Willingness to work overtime and Saturdays as scheduled
Ability to read and comprehend instructions, written or verbal
Strong communication skills and ability to complete required documentation
Basic math skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals
Ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions provided in written, oral, or diagram form
Work Environment:
Hands-on work in a manufacturing setting
Physically capable of standing, bending, and performing repetitive tasks as required
