Responsibilities of Mechanic:

Ground Support Equipment Inspect, maintain, repair, and overhaul all powered and non-powered ground support equipment.
Facility Support: Assist with facility or property equipment maintenance as needed.
Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to less experienced mechanics.
Inspection Oversight: Review and ensure the quality of work performed in the absence of a supervisor.
Requirements of Mechanic:

Education: High school diploma or GED.
Experience: Verifiable 5+ years of industrial or commercial maintenance experience.
Skills:

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and hydraulic diagrams.
Proficiency in arc/MIG welding and acetylene welding.
Troubleshooting and repair skills for gas/diesel engines, automatic/manual transmissions, hydraulic systems, and battery-operated equipment.
Tire and wheel changes for light and heavy-duty vehicles.
Licenses/Certifications of Mechanic:

Valid driver’s license.
CDL Class A (preferred).
Preferred Experience of Mechanic:

2 years of technical training in industrial or automotive repair.
