The Village of Sabina is currently accepting resumes from qualified individuals interested in serving as Village Fiscal Officer.
At this time, this is not an active vacancy, as the Village currently has a Fiscal Officer in place. However, due to recent staff transitions within our organization and in an effort strengthen continuity and long-term planning, the Village is building a pool of qualified candidates should the position become available in the future.

Position Overview
The Fiscal Officer performs the statutory duties of Clerk-Treasurer under Ohio law & is responsible for:
- Maintaining all financial records of the Village
- Managing receipts, deposits & disbursements
- Preparing & signing checks & overseeing payroll
- Preparing monthly, quarterly, & annual financial reports
- Assisting with annual budget preparation
- Maintaining records for Council proceedings
- Working with state auditors
- Managing bonds & financial compliance matters
The position works closely with the Mayor, Council & Department Heads to ensure strong financial oversight & transparency.

Preferred Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of municipal accounting principles
- Experience in budgeting, auditing, & financial reporting
- Familiarity with Ohio public records requirements & tax codes
- Ability to maintain payroll & benefits administration
- Strong organizational & communication skills
