Village Clerk Assistant | Building a candidate pool

The Village of Sabina is currently accepting resumes from qualified individuals interested in the position of Village Clerk Assistant. This position is presently vacant; however, the Village is not actively filling the role at this time. As part of our ongoing efforts to strengthen operational continuity and plan responsibly for the future, we are building a pool of qualified candidates should a decision be made to move forward with filling the vacancy. Proactive planning allows us to move efficiently and ensure stability in service to our residents.

Position Summary
Under the direction of the Fiscal Officer, the Clerk Assistant supports clerical and fiscal operations of the Village, including:
• Recording purchase orders and liabilities in UAN
• Processing invoices and preparing payments
• Assisting with payroll documentation
• Filing and records management
• Preparing and maintaining Council minutes
• Assisting with Council packets and legislation
• Posting legislation and meeting notices
• Responding to public inquiries
• Attending meetings and functions as required

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with accounting software (UAN experience preferred)
• Strong computer and typing skills
• Knowledge of Ohio Revised Code and municipal procedures (or willingness to learn)
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively Minimum requirements include a high school diploma (or equivalent), valid driver’s license, and reliable transportation.
