The Village of Sabina is currently accepting resumes for the position of Water Treatment Plant Supervisor as part of ongoing operational planning and infrastructure performance alignment within the Water Department. As regulatory requirements continue to increase and service expectations evolve, the Village is strengthening oversight, compliance standards, and operational accountability across critical utilities operations.
Position Summary
Under the direction of the Village Administrator, the Water Treatment Plant Supervisor manages the daily operations of the Village’s Water Treatment facility and oversees assigned personnel. This role requires strong regulatory compliance, accurate documentation, operational oversight, and proactive leadership.
Core Responsibilities
• Supervise daily operations of the Water Treatment facility
• Maintain accurate operational records and documentation
• Ensure timely completion of work orders
• Oversee facility equipment maintenance and functionality
• Prepare and submit required Ohio EPA (OEPA) reports
• Respond to customer inquiries and coordinate resolutions
• Become proficient in departmental computer systems and meter input processes
• Ensure adherence to all Personnel Policies and Procedures
Required Knowledge & Credentials
• Minimum Class I Water License (as required by OEPA)
• Knowledge of water treatment operations and regulatory compliance
• Ability to maintain accurate reporting and documentation
• Ability to become knowledgeable of all departmental tools and equipment within six months
• Strong organizational and leadership skills
Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license
• Reliable transportation
• Strong communication and management skills
• Professional demeanor and ability to work with the public
• Ability to work independently and alongside Village staff
